The Role
The school is seeking a committed and organised Pastoral Manager to support the wellbeing behaviour and personal development of students.
This is a key role within the schools pastoral system. The successful candidate will work closely with Heads of Year teachers and safeguarding staff to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
The Pastoral Manager will play an important role in maintaining positive behaviour standards supporting attendance improvement and working with students who may require additional guidance.
This role requires someone who is approachable empathetic and able to build strong relationships with students and families.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the wellbeing and personal development of students
Monitoring behaviour and attendance across designated year groups
Working with Heads of Year to support students experiencing difficulties
Liaising with parents and carers regarding student progress and welfare
Supporting behaviour management strategies across the school
Maintaining accurate records of pastoral interventions
Working with safeguarding leads and external agencies when required
Encouraging a positive and supportive school culture
Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience working with young people in an educational or support role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities
A calm and professional approach to behaviour management
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Experience in pastoral support or youth work would be advantageous.
