About the Role
As Art Teacher you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 encouraging pupils to experiment with a variety of artistic styles and techniques. You will help students develop creative confidence while building strong technical and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing painting and mixed media
Encouraging creativity experimentation and independent artistic expression
Assessing pupil work and providing constructive feedback
Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular art clubs exhibitions or school creative projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in lesson delivery
Be able to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting pupils creative development
