About the Role
As Art Teacher you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 encouraging pupils to experiment with a variety of artistic styles and techniques. You will help students develop creative confidence while building strong technical and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teaching a range of artistic techniques including drawing painting and mixed media

  • Encouraging creativity experimentation and independent artistic expression

  • Assessing pupil work and providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies

  • Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

  • Supporting extracurricular art clubs exhibitions or school creative projects

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design

  • Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in lesson delivery

  • Be able to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities

  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be committed to supporting pupils creative development
