Teaching Opportunity in a Well-Resourced Mathematics Department

A secondary school in Crawley is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its Mathematics department from September. This is a full-time position within a structured department that is focused on delivering strong outcomes in Mathematics and supporting students across a range of abilities.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 supporting students in developing confidence with number algebra geometry and problem-solving skills.

The role includes preparing students for GCSE Mathematics examinations helping them build secure mathematical understanding and apply methods accurately.

Depending on experience there may be opportunities to contribute to teaching at Key Stage 5.

You will work closely with departmental colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and assessment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teach core mathematical concepts in line with curriculum expectations

  • Prepare students for GCSE Mathematics examinations

  • Assess student work and provide structured feedback

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

  • Contribute to departmental planning and shared resources

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

  • Support intervention sessions where required
