This is a full-time permanent position available from September or sooner for the right candidate.

About the Role
As a Computing Teacher you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will support pupils in developing essential digital and programming skills that are increasingly important in todays world.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teaching topics such as programming computer systems networks and digital safety

  • Supporting pupils in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills

  • Using a variety of teaching strategies to engage pupils with different learning styles

  • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

  • Supporting extracurricular opportunities such as coding clubs or digital projects

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Computing or Computer Science

  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons

  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be committed to supporting pupils academic progress and digital skills development

  • Show enthusiasm for innovation and technology in education
