About the Role
As Caretaker you will carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks ensure the site is secure and support the smooth operation of the school facilities. You will work closely with the Premises Manager and other staff to maintain a safe and welcoming school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance repairs and cleaning oversight

• Monitoring health and safety standards across the school site

• Supporting the set-up and take-down of school events and activities

• Responding to site-related issues promptly and effectively

• Assisting with security including locking/unlocking buildings and alarm monitoring

• Maintaining tools equipment and stock for site management

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Have practical skills in maintenance DIY or facilities management

• Be reliable proactive and able to work independently

• Understand basic health and safety requirements in a school setting

• Demonstrate good communication and teamworking skills

• Be flexible and able to respond to the varied needs of a busy primary school

Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
