Job Description
As a Security Officer - Visitor Entry Desk in Irving TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will help manage entry and exit points verify identification monitor activity and maintain clear visitor and driver logs. You will stay highly visible conduct routine patrols as assigned respond to security-related concerns and deliver professional customer service and communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel drivers and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Staff access control points at a logistics and distribution location by checking identification verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork issuing visitor credentials and maintaining entry and exit logs.
- Screen inbound and outbound traffic by observing for unusual activity unauthorized access attempts and/or prohibited items helping to deter policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as entrances parking areas loading docks and perimeter lines with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
