The GA LATAM Sales Leader SOLA (South of Latin America) is an experienced professional in the Electric Utilities segment and Grid Automation products systems/solutions and service that includes PAC (Protection Automation and Control) CIC (Critical Communications Infrastructure) M&D (Monitoring and Diagnostics) Services (including advanced automation applications) and Asset Performance Management. This person will lead a team with the challenge to maximize the commercial performance of GE VERNOVA Grid Automation portfolio utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives and have the capability to deliver short-term and some long-term business results. Your profile is of a Self-starter positive attitude committed to the success of the business. The position reports to the LAM Sales Director.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Quarterly sales results for Grid Automation in SOLA with such responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of around 10 Sales Managers/Engineers based in SOLA and you will be responsible to coordinate the strategy/priorities/actions with the Product Managers in HQ and LAM to meet the sales targets.
- Meet quarterly Orders targets through the development of opportunities in end-users (utilities and industries) and other indirect channels from early specification all the way through contract hand over.
- Prospect and articulate opportunities in the assigned geographic area. Keep a detailed and updated project pipeline for LAM. Accountability for providing committing and delivering orders forecasts for LAM.
- You will be the main link between the SOLA LAM and HQ. Your role will be to discuss portfolio strategy for Mexico competitors market trends new products needed support needed resolution of problems that require the Global team involvement.
- Responsible for the development of new leads in the Region and segments like Generation Transmission Distribution Mining Railways and Oil & Gas. Directly with End-Users or partnering with Integrators OEMs or Channels Partners.
- Manage a network of business partners distributors and resellers in his assigned region.
- Participate provide leadership and be accountable for the technical and commercial offers prepared by the Tendering team and negotiate the cost with the manufacturing units.
- Coordinate actions in relation to products strategy promotion workshops and pricing.
- Technical presentations development of the sales strategy in your geographic area and develop a strong customer relationship.
- Coordination with other GE units to increase pipeline.
- Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations engineering and product development teams.
- Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE.
- Manage expenses within budget.
- Support of management on companys governance rhythm
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering and/or related areas
- 10y Experience in Sales in the T&D industry
- Fluent in English and Spanish

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
