To process small business loan requests and identify additional products and services that will benefit the member. Primary focus will be on Visas auto loans term loans and small lines of credit up to $100000.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process internal business loan referrals/requests from application to close.
- Refer the appropriate loan requests to the appropriate officers if request is out of scope of work.
- Review personal credit.
- Make recommendations for loan structure and terms.
- Gather and prepare borrower documentation for submission to underwriting.
- Review loan closing documents for covenants terms and conditions.
- Follow up with member to make sure the loan closes.
- Provide borrowers and team members with constant communication through the loan process.
- Learn and use our business loan origination system daily.
- Work closely with underwriting to provide complete information to allow credit decision of business loan requests.
- Identify additional business and consumer cross sell opportunities for qualified borrowers.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of all Idaho Central Credit Union business products to educate and train borrowers and team members.
- Assist fellow team members in the department as well as the manager(s) as needed.
- Assist Credit Union with collection efforts on delinquent business loans as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Two years banking experience with Consumer or Business Lending preferred. Ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Excellent communication relationship building and sales skills.
Performance Standard:
Must take pride in department always meeting and exceeding members expectations. Must be professional and positive in manner with a focus on quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork filing stapling sorting collating typing counting cash etc.).
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper cash drawers marketing material etc.
- Repetitive motion using wrists hands and fingers.
- Reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator computer telephone copy machine fax machine etc.).
