Job purpose
The HVAC Control Installer is responsible for installing wiring programming testing and commissioning building automation and HVAC control systems. This role ensures all control components operate efficiently meet design specifications and comply with safety and industry standards. The installer works closely with project managers technicians and clients to deliver high-quality control solutions for commercial and industrial facilities.
Duties and responsibilities
Install HVAC control systems including sensors controllers actuators thermostats and network devices.
Read and interpret control drawings wiring diagrams and project specifications
Mount control panels conduit and low-voltage wiring according to code requirements
Perform point-to-point checkout system testing and commissioning support
Troubleshoot and repair control system issues during installation and startup
Coordinate with electricians mechanical contractors and supervisors on job sites
Ensure all work complies with local state and national electrical and safety codes
Document installation progress and changes.
Maintain tools equipment and a clean safe work environment
Qualifications
Working conditions
Working conditions may vary based on project and requirements. Typical working hours are from 6:55 am until 3:35 PM Monday through Friday but may extend into nights weekends and holidays. Temporary project offices will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
Physical requirements
Normal office environment mobility; sitting walking bending stooping standing lifting a maximum of 50 pounds (greater than 50 pounds requires a two-person lift) turning pushing. Normal office dexterity to include; reaching handling grasping to include typing/keyboard and phone use.
