Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Neurology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurosciences team in Danville Pennsylvania.Job Duties:
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality patient-centered neurological care in a collaborative environment.
Position Highlights
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of neurologists APPs nurses and specialty support staff.
- Provide evaluation diagnosis and management of diverse neurological conditions.
- Opportunities to support specialized programs such as stroke epilepsy neuromuscular disease movement disorders memory and general neurology.
- Access to state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic resources across Geisingers neurosciences service line.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop patient-centered care plans.
- Conduct follow-up visits medication management and patient counseling.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR.
- Engage in patient and family education and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of a ARC-approved physician assistant program eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.
Geisingers Neuroscience Institute spans Geisingers three main campuses in Danville Wilkes-Barre and Scranton along with locations in State College and Lewistown Pennsylvania. Our program includes most neurology and neurosurgery subspecialties along with neurology and neurosurgery residency programs.
