ABOUT THE POSITION: The fundamental reason this position exists is to produce quality printing plates for internal customers to help them meet customer order ship dates and production goals. This position may also shift into other positions as needed according to customer demand by resource.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand the different types of printing plates needed to help meet internal customer demand and production goals.
Communicate with prior/following shift to ensure proper workflow.
Communicate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to maintain equipment efficiencies.
Uphold established quality standards for printing plates for all areas of printing.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Work safely upholding our company PPE and Safety requirements (Ex. Safety glasses hearing protection safety shoes where needed gloves labeling secondary containers etc.) Report safety concerns to management.
Adhere to company policies and practices as outlined in our company handbook.
Embrace and demonstrate our Company Values.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to effectively manage time and resources in an organized manner.
Ability to read and understand work orders.
Must have reliable transportation.
Good attendance and punctuality.
Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully especially when using radio communication.
Must be able to understand basic addition and subtraction.
Must be able to read a ruler.
Must be able to use both hand tools and power tools as needed for making adjustments to plate making machines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change. Demonstrates learning agility with desire to grow and develop.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and external partners through multiple forms of technology. Must be able to receive and convey information.
The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the Manufacturing and Printing buildings.
Needs to have the ability to remain in a stationary position up to 90% of the time.
Needs to be able to stand/move about their work area for entire shift.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works on the production floor area. The noise level is usually high and will require PPE (safety glasses and hearing protection) in all zones. Chemical resistant gloves face shield and apron is used occasionally.
Works on cement floors with safety padding
Moving parts on machinery
Could be subject to high temperatures and cold temperatures throughout the year.
