Schedule: Full-time Monday Friday (B Shift: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM; overtime possible)
Location: Fairport NY (100% Onsite)

Job Overview
Tekberry is seeking a Coating Utility Technician to support manufacturing operations for our client a global leader in advanced materials and optical technologies. This role provides critical support to coating production operations by assisting with machine setup and teardown material handling production documentation and maintaining a clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
The technician will work closely with production operators and team leads to ensure materials tools and equipment are properly prepared and available to maintain efficient production flow.

Responsibilities
Production Support
Assist with machine setup and teardown procedures for coating operations
Prepare machines and workstations by cleaning loading materials and staging components
Support production flow by ensuring materials and tools are available when needed
Move raw materials and finished components between workstations
Administrative & Documentation
Enter data into production systems such as work orders and inventory transactions
Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for traceability
Update production status boards or digital dashboards as required
Logistics Support
Move finished goods and components between work areas
Coordinate material transfers with shipping and receiving teams
Assist with inventory cycle counts and materials tracking
Sanitation & Safety
Perform routine cleaning of work areas equipment and production stations
Dispose of materials and waste in accordance with safety procedures
Follow all PPE and cleanroom protocols
Report safety hazards or equipment issues promptly
Quality & Compliance
Perform basic visual inspections for defects or contamination
Verify materials meet cleanliness and labeling standards
Support compliance with ISO GMP and other manufacturing standards
Training & Team Support
Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coating operations
Support training of new team members on basic tasks and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with operators supervisors and production staff
Must-Have Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
1 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
Experience following detailed work instructions and process checklists
Ability to support machine setup and teardown activities
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
Ability to work safely within regulated production environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting machine setup and teardown in manufacturing environments
Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments
Familiarity with sandblasting or surface preparation processes
Experience supporting production equipment and tooling preparation
Work Environment
100% onsite in Fairport NY
B Shift schedule (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
Cleanroom manufacturing environment
PPE required including safety shoes safety glasses gloves and cleanroom garments
Use of basic tools such as Allen keys screwdrivers and wrenches
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
