OPERATIONS INTERN
Reports to: Senior Enterprise Project Manager
Status: Temporary/Seasonal Full-time or Part-time Exempt
Location: Anchorage AK
Job Summary:Aleut is seeking a creative and motivated Operations Intern to support our operations & project management teams and initiatives. This 10-week summer internship starting on or around June 1 2026 will provide hands-on experience in marketing communications and digital projects while working in a professional work environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Embraces the mission values and strategic goals of Aleut.
- Complete a learning summary presentation to be presented to Aleut management upon completion of internship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects as assigned Collaborate with team members in a professional work environment.
- Support project planning tracking and documentation.
- Help analyze operational processes and recommend improvements.
- Prepare reports presentations and meeting materials.
- Identify and participate in a goal setting process with direct supervisor to determine learning objectives for the duration of the internship.
- Observe and assist with department programs services research and other tasks.
- Attend meetings and training as appropriate to acquire knowledge and skills within the department.
- Organize and assist in implementing strategies for special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including speech writing proper grammar spelling editing and proofreading.
- Good interpersonal and public contact skills; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff of Aleut and affiliated-company employees; exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others.
- Good organizational skills; ability to solve problems and exercise good judgement.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products such as Word Excel and Outlook.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Highschool Diploma or GED.
- Enrolled in a continuing education program such as a degree vocational or certification program.
- Aleut Corporation Shareholder and/or descendent.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
- Junior undergraduate Senior undergraduate or Graduate student.
- Strong interest in business operations business management or project management
