Job Summary
Accounts Payable Specialist Elkhart IN
This opening at our clients corporate office is designed as a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The starting pay rate for this role will be set based on the experience level of the candidate selected with flexibility to consider someone earlier in their accounting career as well as a more advanced professional with broader accounting knowledge.
This role supports the companys Accounts Payable team within a large multi-location organization. Accuracy integrity and professionalism are essential as this position plays an important part in maintaining financial records and strong internal and vendor relationships.
Job Duties:
- Processing and verifying vendor invoices
- Reviewing and auditing employee expense reports
- Handling vendor payments and payment inquiries
- Maintaining organized financial documentation and records
- Performing accurate general ledger (GL) coding
- Communicating with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Assisting with accounts receivable functions as needed based on experience level
Its a match for someone who brings previous accounts payable experience demonstrates strong attention to detail and communicates confidently with team members across departments. Candidates with familiarity in accounts receivable practices GAAP principles and internal controls may qualify for the higher end of the pay range. Requirements:
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred
- Understanding of general ledger coding
- Familiarity with accounts receivable practices GAAP and internal controls preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions
