Cerrowire is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Hartselle Alabama!
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety quality and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production. This includes planningassigningand directing work addressing product and employee complaints and resolving problems. This person carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe Companys policies OSHAregulationsand applicable laws.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and a proven track record of driving equipment uptime reliability and team development. This role is key to supporting Cerrowires commitment to operational excellence and creating a safe high-performing manufacturing environment.
Bachelors Degree in a related field ispreferredand a minimum of five (5)years ofindustrial maintenance experience isor an equivalent combination of education and experience;previoussupervisory experience.
Working knowledge of PLCs electrical and coolingtowers. Skillsin electronics instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting reading electricalschematicsandunderstandingladder logic. Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations and formulas.
Experience leading and following Safety Policies and Procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skill in organization and prioritization and attention to detail.
Strong teamplayer and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

Collaborates with the maintenance manager and other facility management toutilizeequipment to improve employee safety production quality equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
Utilizes mechanical and electricalexpertisetomaintainproduction systems utilitiesbuildingsand grounds.
Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system tooptimizeassetutilizationthrough scheduled preventative maintenance.
Ensure that allequipment(i.e.refrigeration electrical steam compressed air systems etc.)arein proper working order to support production.
Implements corrective actionsidentifiedby key maintenance performance indicatorstocreate overall equipment effectiveness.
Remains current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codesrelativeto mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
Ensures corporate policies and standards are followed.
Complete all paperwork including maintenance records incident reports and investigations and others as assigned by the maintenance manager. Maintain current technical documentation on PLCsinstrumentationand equipment (PLC ladder logic blueprints manuals SOPs maintenance procedures PMs inventory/partspurchasing.
Shares best practices within the Maintenance Department.
Monitor and enforce policies plant rules and programs with employees contractors vendorsconsultantsand suppliers (i.e.safety food safety regulatoryetc).
Engages inthe typical responsibilities of a supervisor requiring planning evaluating organizingintegratingand delegating.
Provides management of employees directly to ensure effectiveselection retention development disciplinaryactionand performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists mayparticipatein negotiations grievances or other contract related activities and discussions.
Evaluate Maintenance personnel skills and abilities andassistManager with developing training programs for employees growth.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Couldbe asked to provide physical activity including but not limited to sitting standing bending stooping lifting (up to 50lbs) and walking
Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery etc.
Consistentlyoperatesa computer and other office productivity machinery.
Employees will work in environments that may include exposure to extreme temperatures dust noise humidity.
Personal Protective Equipment is required when performing work such as: safety toed shoes hearing protection
gloves etc.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
