Primary purpose of the job
The main purpose of the position will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying developing and closing sales opportunities for fully engineered and certified pre-engineered steel structures. The role focuses on industrial agricultural residential and institutional markets selling structural solutions for applications such as factories warehouses storage facilities schools halls barns housing workshops and related developments. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding consultative selling and relationship management with the ability to guide clients from concept through to final sale.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build and manage a sales pipeline
- Conduct client meetings and site visits
- Prepare quotations with engineering teams
- Negotiate and close deals
- Build long-term client relationships
- Act as a trusted technical advisor
- Maintain ongoing client communication
- Identify repeat and upsell opportunities
- Understand structural systems and certifications
- Explain technical concepts clearly
- Liaise with engineering and production teams
- Provide market feedback
- Ability to read technical drawings and explain them
- Maintain CRM records & Submit sales reports and forecasts
- Monitor market and competitor activity

Qualifications required:
- Minimum academic qualification: National Diploma in Sales
- Qualifications as an added advantage: Degree in Sales Marketing Business Management or a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience required:
- General work experience (years): 03 years in technical or construction sales experience
- Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 03 years in sales preferably in building materials steel products or a related industry.
- Industry: Steel manufacturing building materials or construction industry
Computer literacy:
- MS Office
- Excel
- Sap (Advantage)
