Manager – R&D & New Product Development
Location: Kochi
Salary :7.2 Lacs - 12 Lacs

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Food Technologist to lead R&D and New Product Development (NPD) for our Snacks and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) product portfolio. The role involves end-to-end product development food safety compliance process optimization and cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and successful commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
New Product Development

* Lead product development from concept to commercialization.
* Develop and optimize product formulations for taste texture shelf life and cost efficiency.
* Conduct lab trials pilot runs and scale-up in collaboration with production teams.
* Lead sensory evaluation and consumer validation.
* Set up and manage a compact R&D laboratory.

Quality & Food Safety

* Ensure compliance with FSSAI HACCP ISO 22000 and BRCGS standards.
* Implement quality control systems and support internal and external audits.
* Lead shelf-life studies and product stability validation.
* Manage customer complaints and CAPA implementation.

Process & Cost Optimization

* Improve yield consistency and production efficiency.
* Standardize SOPs and support troubleshooting on the shop floor.

Regulatory & Documentation

* Ensure labeling compliance and nutritional declarations.
* Maintain technical documentation product specifications and regulatory records.

Qualifications & Experience

* / in Food Technology Food Science Dairy Technology or related field
* 5–10 years of experience in Snacks or RTE manufacturing
* Strong expertise in NPD shelf-life studies audits and regulatory compliance
* Experience in extrusion frying seasoning or retort processing is preferred
