High School French Teacher plus one more teachable in Social Sciences Full time (1.0 FTE)
Starting Date: September 1 2026 (One-year contract mat-leave position)

About the position:
We are looking for a dedicated dynamic compassionate innovative and inspiring French teacher (plus another social sciences teachable) to join our school family. A person with integrity the successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students to make a difference in the lives of others while working hard and having fun. King David is a young and growing school with approximately 275 students and 50 staff members. We are looking for an educator who will thrive in a relational setting and will support and implement a competency-based approach to teaching while caring for and supporting students emotional well-being and development. The specific courses and teaching schedule will be determined depending on the successful candidates skills to best meet both the teacher and the schools needs.
The successful candidate will have a love of French and a joy for teaching adolescents. We are looking for candidates who truly want to use their passion to make a difference in the lives of our students. You must value diversity as it relates to all people including aspects of identity and have respect for indigenous traditions and ways of knowing. We also want you to know that you will be a valued and cared-for member of our school team.
Requirements for the position:
- Be certified to teach in British Columbia with a university degree in this teaching discipline
- A documented ability to teach with kindness and flexibility to support students in their learning
- A desire to always improve ones teaching practice and the learning experience for students
- Experience in a second teaching area in Social Sciences would be a significant asset
