We are looking for a dynamic reporter to file live and taped reports for our Winnipeg this role you will pitch research write and present news stories for broadcast on local and national programs. The successful candidate will report for all editorial platforms as needed.
Please note: The work schedule may include weekend shifts and this is an on call position. Superior French-language skills are required as well.
This role requires full-time on-site presence.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
University degree or equivalent
Three (3) years directly related experience including proven ability in the field and knowledge of the broadcasting industry
Excellent reporting and interviewing skills
Ease with live reporting
Bilingualism (English and French) required
Knowledge of Manitoba affairs and Franco-Manitoban community issues
Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada journalistic and programming policies
Ability to work flexible hours and on weekends as needed
Ability to work with a variety of teams
Critical-thinking abilities
Proven ability to work in a high-stress tight-deadline environment
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
Understanding of the public broadcasters role and responsibilities
Valid drivers licence as well as a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC/Radio-Canadas insurer
