Enterprise Architecture Division Squad Lead for Core Business Capabilities

Division

You will be joining the Enterprise Architecture (EA) division at Euroclear a leading post-trade financial market infrastructure.

The EA division is an experienced and multi-disciplinary group of architects responsible for:

• Defining the enterprise architecture directions & standards aligned to the company strategies & goals;
• Defining the investment themes to develop or transform the IT capabilities supporting the business units strategies;
• Maintaining a multi-year strategic investment plan & technology roadmap and advising on IT investment decisions;
• Steering the definition & realisation of capabilities and solutions to support business objectives (process applications data and technology) in alignment with the enterprise architecture directions.

Role

You will be the lead of our Core business Capabilities squad in charge of managing the architecture for Euroclear Business Services (i.e. Settlement Asset Servicing Banking & Cash Collateral Funds). You will manage a team of approximately 7 architects and act as the Squad Product Owner ensuring that the squad backlog is transparent managed aligned with stakeholders expectations and delivered.

Together with your team you will drive deliver and contribute to the following architectural services:

Strategy Enablement

• Assembling and analysing strategic Business and IT objectives and leveraging understanding of external industry and market trends to determine the potential impact on the enterprises strategy direction and architecture

• Lead analysis of current and future-state capabilities and IT environment to detect gaps and opportunities assess new technologies and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the enterprise towards its targeted outcomes.

• Facilitating Business and IT alignment and supporting the translation into an executable change roadmap that will realise the strategic objectives and deliver the targeted value outcomes requiring close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Delivering target and/or transition architectures and standards and ensuring they are properly maintained and governed providing viable options and visibility of strategic direction and implications for the enterprise and for steering of delivery.

Strategy Implementation Oversight

• Providing transparency on the progress of the capability implementation andalignment with established targets and intended roadmaps.

• Providing transparency on the evolution of Technology Debt and the planning and implementation of mitigation and remediation actions.

Delivery Planning and Solutions

• Developing clear standards reference architecture patterns principles and guardrails through the EA governance model to support effective and efficient decision-making and provide clarity for delivery initiatives.
  
  

• Collaborating with IT delivery teams and their solution architectsto ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture to leverage shared technologies tools and processes where appropriate and provide continuous feedback towards the further evolution of the enterprise architecture.

Architecture Advisory

• Providing consultative advice and support adapted to stakeholder context to business leaders and organisational stakeholders who seek actionable recommendations to support decision-making on strategy delivery M&A and/or other relevant topics.

Architecture Practice

• Collaborating with other architects and supporting delivery of transversal architectural topics and contributing to a positive working environment.

• Masters or bachelors degree in business computer science engineering or a related field of study or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding and knowledge of business & technology operating models strategic planning & cost-benefit analysis security & risk management information & data management systems development methodologies agile principles & frameworks and/or IT service delivery infrastructure and operations.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets (customer segments value chains industry processes) with a focus on post-trade business services
• 5 - 10 years of experience in two or more of the following disciplines:

• Experience within the Financial Services industry and understanding of the complexity of the regulatory environment considered as a plus.
• Certified in an Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF) and familiar with Enterprise Architecture tools considered as an advantage.
• Experience as a Product Owner or experience in working with Agile methodologies considered as a plus.
