Wieland is hiring a Quality Technician. The Quality Technician will be responsible for Low Pressure & High-Pressure performance tube testing defining Lab testing priorities QA inspection lots Shopfloor support and Mechanical Material testing. Works closely interdepartmentally with Production Maintenance and Process Engineering (as needed) to ensure Quality compliance throughout the shopfloor. This role is located in Wheeling IL and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $22.50/hr. to $23.50/hr.
Schedule: M-F 5:00AM-1:00PM

Responsibilities
Quality Technician Responsibilities:
- Having EHS as top priority creating/supporting an environment of safety excellence and promoting a safe environment for everyone.
- Actively supports the department by sustaining current processes while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (SOPs Work Instructions Process Maps and Quality records) by thorough and consistent review.
- Responsible for LP & HP testing and providing feedback to Production Engineering and Quality as needed.
- Supports sustainability of ISO 9001:2015 certification by supporting Gauge care and calibration.
- Actively supports the department by sustaining current processes while seeking opportunities for continuous improvementof the Quality Management System(SOPs Work Instructions Process Maps and Quality Records) by thorough and consistent review.
- Responsible for ensuring implementation of quality control procedures in-process inspections and completed product inspections.
Quality Technician Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma (or equivalent) and/orequivalent comprehensive experience in the field.
- HVAC certification (Technician Type Universal - 40 CFR 82 Subpart F) is a plus.
- Experience in Gauge Management and Calibration.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement knowledge of LEAN tools is a plus.
- Advanced English language skills both spoken and written Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data entry is required.
