Since 1910 Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Scouting America believes and understands that helping youth puts us on a path towards a more conscientious responsible and productive society.
The Cradle of Liberty Council headquartered in King of Prussia administers Scouting in Philadelphia Montgomery and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania and serves more than 11000 youth annually. The council is actively seeking a self-motivated organized high-energy individual for a full-time (35 hours/week) in-person Support Specialist position.
Responsibilities: Provide a wide range of administrative and staff support services to the organization as directed in the areas of membership/registration finance event/program support and customer service. Provide support by performing duties such as but not limited to data entry records management reception typing filing copying mail distribution and inventory control. You may be asked to prepare presentations and reports assist with meeting and project scheduling and perform other duties as assigned.
- Membership Processing: Manage the database to register and renew memberships for youth and adult volunteers. This requires high attention to detail to ensure information is entered accurately and efficiently.
- Customer Service: Regularly interact with parents volunteers and staff answering phones and emails and responding to questions regarding registration event sign-ups and policies.
- Financial Administration: This includes processing point-of-sale transactions managing petty cash and recording donations.
- Event and Program Support: Assist volunteers and staff with administrative tasks for events training sessions and general program activities including event registration organizing materials preparing certificates and other duties.
