Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Overnights in Horicon WI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will monitor assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or access needs document observations and provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures access requirements and security-related protocols at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating site emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas warehouses loading docks parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances gates and restricted areas; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization; and report policy violations or maintenance concerns through the designated chain of command.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation communicate observed conditions to site contacts and assist with traffic and/or truck flow during shift changes and deliveries.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
