Responsible Officer Investments Hong Kong
About the Company
A rapidly growing digital wealth platform in Asia is seeking a senior Responsible Officer to lead its Hong Kong investment platform.
The firm provides technology driven investment solutions designed for mass affluent and emerging high net worth clients. Combining digital infrastructure with institutional quality investment capabilities the company has experienced strong growth in assets under management and continues to expand its presence across key Asia Pacific markets.
Hong Kong represents a major strategic growth market for the business.
The Opportunity
The company is looking for an experienced Responsible Officer to oversee the Hong Kong investment platform. This individual will hold regulatory responsibility lead the investment function locally and play a central role in building and scaling the platform.
The role will work closely with senior regional stakeholders across product distribution and operations and will have significant influence over the long term growth of the Hong Kong business.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory and Licensing
Act as a Responsible Officer with the Hong Kong regulator
Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks
Lead licensing matters and regulatory engagement for the Hong Kong platform
Maintain strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders
Investment Leadership
Lead and manage the Hong Kong investment and advisory team
Oversee discretionary and advisory investment portfolios
Drive the investment process including asset allocation portfolio construction and implementation
Provide oversight on trading and execution frameworks
Ensure strong risk management and governance across investment activities
Business and Commercial Partnership
Work closely with commercial and client facing teams to support client acquisition and retention
Partner with product and distribution teams to develop and launch new investment solutions
Provide investment expertise to support client engagement and discussions
Support institutional and wholesale client conversations when required
Strategic Development
Build and scale the Hong Kong investment function
Contribute to long term product strategy and regional growth initiatives
Support partnerships with brokers platforms and product providers
Drive the development of operational and investment infrastructure
Requirements
Mandatory
Current or prior Responsible Officer experience in Hong Kong
Relevant regulatory licenses including Type 1 Type 4 and Type 9
Strong understanding of Hong Kong regulatory frameworks and investment management practices
Experience managing discretionary portfolios and advisory mandates
Preferred
Background within a bank asset manager or investment platform
Experience across trading and execution
Strong leadership experience managing investment teams
Familiarity with the Hong Kong wealth management and broker ecosystem
Existing network across financial intermediaries and investment platforms
Ability to operate effectively in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment
