Job Summary

Responsibilities:Special Education Teacher

Teach in a CDC (life skills) classroom
Manage student behavior using de-escalation strategies
Follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
Develop Instructionally Appropriate IEPs
Implement data collection practices
Communicate clearly with parents administration and district coordinator while maintaining confidentiality
Perform basic clerical tasks such as email and documentation

Qualifications:SpEd Teacher

Hold a 461 endorsement
Experience teaching in a CDC (life skills) classroom
Experience managing student behavior
Experience developing Instructionally Appropriate IEPs
All teachers shall be licensed in accordance with state law and the regulations of theTennessee Department of Education.
Holds a Bachelors or Masters Degree as needed.
