Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility in Glenwood Springs CO is seeking an experienced X-Ray / CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple departments. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic and CT images while ensuring patient safety and adherence to radiation protection standards.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and capable of performing a variety of imaging procedures independently while maintaining high standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging
Perform X-ray and CT scans according to physician orders.
Operate CT scanners and digital radiography equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images.
Ensure all images meet clinical quality standards for physician interpretation.
Specialized Imaging Support
Perform fluoroscopy procedures to assist physicians during real-time imaging examinations.
Provide imaging support in the Operating Room (OR) during surgical procedures.
Assist with orthopedic imaging for bone and joint evaluations.
Departmental Collaboration
Provide imaging services for multiple departments including:
Oncology
Neurosurgery
Orthopedics
Family Practice
Internal Medicine
Urology
Womens Health
Pediatrics
Patient Care
Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures.
Properly position patients for imaging exams.
Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
Follow all infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Equipment Operation
Operate and maintain radiology and CT imaging equipment.
Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues.
Follow all radiation safety and compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
ARRT (R) Radiography Certification
ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography Certification
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to perform Fluoroscopy Operating Room imaging Orthopedics imaging X-Ray and CT procedures.
Experience working in multi-specialty healthcare environments.
Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
