Key Information:
- Hours: Project dependent. Minimum 40 hours per week with overtime hours needed during the busy season (April - October)
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends. (on-call rotation)
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:
- Smoothing leveling and finishing freshly poured concrete using hand tools (floats trowels) or power equipment (power trowels vibrating screeds).
- Checking formwork grade and steel reinforcement and installing fixtures like anchor bolts or steel plates.
- Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces as well as waterproof or dampproof concrete.
- Patching resurfacing and replacing damaged sections of concrete.
- Creating specialized finishes such as broom or stamped finishes and installing control joints to manage cracking.
- Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
- Must have 3 years of proven experience in the trade or completion of a formal apprenticeship.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting bending and working on knees for extended periods.
- Understanding of concrete properties curing processes and ability to read blueprints or specifications.
- Adhering to safety policies including using proper PPE for protection against concrete chemicals
- CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must have strong working knowledge of concrete construction.
- A valid class 5 drivers license is required.
- A clean 5-year commercial drivers abstract is required and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.
Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program or 3 years of experience in the trade.
