Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for providing petrophysics support to a multi-disciplinary subsurface team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Quality control of wireline data and other supporting well information.
  • Organize data in appropriate systems of record.
  • Manage large multi-well open hole/cased hole log projects.
  • Primarily support petrophysics modeling.
  • Maintain and manage Core data and core inventory and movement of core.
  • Efficient use of Petrophysics software. IP is preferred.
  • Load log data well data and other geological data to various petrophysical software.
  • Knowledge of QC/ Normalize Shift and edit data.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Natural Science Geology Math Physics Computer Science etc.

Oilfield experience preferred.

Strong math and computer skills.

Experience with handling large volumes of wireline log and other oilfield data.

Proficiency in Petrophysics software: IP preferred (IP/Power log/Tech log)

Experience with Geological software: Petra/Kingdom

Experience handling core data (QC depth shift load)

Experience in statistical tools like MATLAB Mathematica Spotfire is desirable.

Able to set priorities meet deadlines handle large volumes of data and multi-task.

Position is on site in Corpus Christi.

Self-motivated and Willingness to learn

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
