First-Party Property Insurance Coverage Attorney

Location: New York NY or Uniondale NY (Hybrid)

A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Insurance Coverage practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex first-party property insurance coverage matters while collaborating with an experienced team of attorneys in a supportive fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze and handle first-party property insurance coverage disputes
Draft coverage opinions pleadings motions and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
Communicate with clients regarding policy interpretation and coverage positions
Manage litigation matters and deadlines throughout the case lifecycle

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
Interest or experience in first-party property insurance coverage (not insurance defense)
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent client communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $125000 $195000 (based on experience)
Comprehensive benefits package including medical dental life insurance 401(k) and paid time off
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office 2 remote)
