How youll contribute

A Microbiology Supervisor who excels in this role:

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities schedule and review work but have no responsibility to hire terminate review performance and/or make pay decisions.
• In hospital environment may be exposed to hazards and unusual elements which may include but are not limited to bloodborne pathogens and / or contagious illnesses toxic chemicals and biohazardous materials which may require extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment.
• Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What were looking for:

Education: Associates Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
Certifications: ASCP or AMT

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience
