Responsibilities:
AMS / Production Support (L2 & L3)
. Provide end-to-end Basis support for SAP S/4HANA systems under RISE (Private Cloud).
. Monitor system health performance and availability.
. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents.
. Resolve issues within defined SLAs and KPIs.
. Manage incidents service requests and change requests.
. Support on-call or rotational support models (if applicable).
RISE with SAP (Private Cloud) Operations
. Coordinate with SAP ECS/RISE operations teams.
. Manage system refreshes client copies and transport landscape.
. Support OS/DB-level coordination with SAP (where applicable).
. Oversee patching cycles and maintenance windows.
. Review SAP EarlyWatch reports and recommend improvements.
. Manage high-availability and disaster recovery procedures.
System Administration & Technical Expertise
. Perform SAP kernel upgrades and support package implementation (in coordination with SAP).
. Monitor and optimize: HANA database performance Application server performance Background jobs and batch processes
. Manage transport management system (TMS).
. Perform role/user administration and authorization support.
. Maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams.
Security & Compliance
. Ensure compliance with audit and security policies.
. Manage SSL certificates and secure communication setup.
. Support vulnerability remediation activities.
. Collaborate with security teams on IAM and access controls.
Change & Release Management
. Participate in release planning for S/4HANA changes.
. Support cutover and deployment activities.
. Review and validate transports before production deployment.
. Ensure minimal downtime and risk mitigation.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
. Identify recurring incidents and propose preventive solutions.
. Optimize system performance and stability.
. Define operational best practices for RISE environments.
. Mentor junior Basis consultants.
. Participate in cloud roadmap discussions.
Must-Have Skills:
. Proven experience in leading SAP Basis operations and architecture across on-premise AWS and Rise environments.
. Experience in SAP cloud environment BTP and S4HANA.
Qualifications & Experiences:
. 4-6 years deep SAP Basis Administration experience
. 2 years of experience working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment
. 2 years of experience in S/4HANA/HANA environment.
. 2 years of experience supporting SAP in Cloud environment solution manager SAP XI.
. 2 years of experience leading the Basis resources during production support and SAP infrastructure project execution
. Minimum of one full life-cycle implementations (End to end)
. Experience in databases and various operating systems. Experience with Enhancement Packages ABAP and Java stack administration including system copies.
. Experience supporting SAP in AWS cloud environment.
. Advanced level knowledge in managing SAP with HANA database with backup High Availability and DR solution.
. Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties.
. Understanding of SAP applications and their functionalities is an added advantage.
. You must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel both in person and on the telephone
. Must be able to pay close attention to complex details and understand written and oral instruction
. Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively
. Must be able to work well under time constraints
