Duration: 6 Months Contract (Potential Extension)
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21 $22 per hour
Job Summary
The Packaging Operator (Manufacturing Operator I) is responsible for supporting production operations by performing labeling relabeling and packaging of reference standard solutions and neat material aliquots used in life science products. The role ensures that all packaging and labeling processes are completed accurately safely and in compliance with company quality standards and regulatory guidelines. The operator will work closely with production teams to meet daily manufacturing targets while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform labeling relabeling and packaging of reference standard solutions and chemical materials according to documented procedures.
- Prepare and complete batch records production forms and documentation required for packaging operations.
- Review batch records and packaging documentation to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance before and after execution.
- Ensure all packaged materials meet quality standards labeling accuracy and regulatory requirements.
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely completion of packaging projects to meet operational goals.
- Communicate production delays issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant teams.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety regulations and company quality policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following housekeeping and safety standards.
- Handle chemicals and packaging materials while using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and maintain productivity targets.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred ideally in a scientific or technical discipline
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or packaging operations
- Ability to follow written instructions SOPs and batch records
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work in a regulated production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in life sciences pharmaceutical laboratory or chemical manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with GMP quality documentation or batch records
- Experience with chemical handling labeling systems or packaging operations
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Work may involve handling chemicals and laboratory materials with proper PPE.
- Position requires standing repetitive tasks and manual handling of packaging materials.
- Standard physical exam required based on job duties.
- Work performed in a controlled manufacturing or laboratory production environment.
