Job Summary
The Director Strategic Giving is responsible for strategic advancement and operational leadership of the principal major mid-level and planned giving programs of IEEE. The incumbent in this position aligns donor interests with organizational mission to maximize philanthropic addition to supervisory responsibilities the Director Strategic Giving maintains a personal caseload of prospects and fundraising goals.
This individual must be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on fundraiser a builder who thrives on growth innovation and results. They report to the IEEE Foundation Executive Director and collaborate with the other IEEE Foundation senior leaders to coordinate efforts to enhance the overall visibility of the IEEE Foundation and IEEE social impact initiatives and to ensure a robust coordinated fundraising program and adherence to best practices and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Principle Major and Mid-level Giving Programs (50%)
Manages a personal caseload of 30 to 50 prospects with capacity for six- and seven-figure gifts with a target of securing $1 million or more in philanthropic support annually
Planned Giving Program (25%)
Directs management of the probate process for received notifications working with executors attorneys and financial institutions.
Talent Leadership & Fiscal Management (15%)
Relationship and Stakeholder Management (10%)
