Job Summary
Summary
Perianesthesia setting consists of the Day Surgery and PACU.
Performs the function of a Perianesthesia Patient Care technician in carrying out all assignments under the direction of an RN in Day Surgery and/or PACU. Is accountable for all patient care he/she gives in the Perianesthesia setting. Is responsible for adhering to all standards of Nursing Practice and for promoting teamwork among colleagues through collaboration and respect.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate
- Preferred Education:Completion of nursing assistant certification training and competency exams as approved by the State Board of Health. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals Course EMT Course or Medical Assistant Course.
- Minimum Experience: Effective verbal and written skills.Effective customer service.Computer keyboard skills
- Preferred Experience: One year of healthcare experience preferred
- Certifications Required: Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Certifications Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Certification
