Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Prepare detailed architectural and structural drawings for buildings and civil engineering projects using CAD software.
- Utilize knowledge of building materials engineering practices and mathematics to complete accurate drawings.
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications with computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
- Coordinate with other team members to design layout or detail components and systems; resolve design issues as needed.
- Analyze technical implications of design concepts including calculations of weights volumes and stress factors.
- Build models for landscape architectural and display purposes.
- Coordinate structural electrical and mechanical designs for comprehensive building plans presentations.
- Create both rough and detailed scale plans for foundations buildings and structures from sketches calculations and other data.
- Gather and assemble necessary data for architectural designs including on-site measurements.
- Determine and record quality cost strength and quantity of required materials for projects.
- Draft plans and detailed drawings for various construction projects including highways sewage systems and dikes.
- Requires creativity strong communication skills analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
- Basic understanding of design techniques engineering principles and CAD software (AutoCAD/AutoDesk).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Architectural Design (or similar) preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years in related field; junior candidates acceptable.
- Fully onsite position in Minneapolis MN.
