Team Structure
With the firms recent expansion across Europe and the exciting new office opening in Madrid Spain which is due to launch in the coming months we are looking to build a full-service team in our Madrid office with exciting hires to be made across all departments. This is a fantastic time to join a firm that is experiencing rapid growth and going from strength to strength.
As a result we are now looking to add to our accounts team and will be hiring an Accounts Assistant which will be one of two hires made for our accounts team in Madrid

Main Responsibilities
To provide daytoday accounting and finance administration support to the Madrid office ensuring accurate processing of receipts payments supplier invoices and staff expenses in line with firm policies and procedures.
- Receipt and allocation of funds received in settlement of the firms fees with due attention to thirdparty payments client money considerations and internal policies.
- Preparation of SH bills and support with WIP management including liaising with fee earners where required.
- Posting supplier invoices and ensuring they are accurately coded to the general ledger following up with invoice approvers as necessary.
- Preparation of weekly supplier payment runs.
- Preparation of payments to third parties as required by fee earners.
- Authorisation and payment of staff expenses on a weekly basis in accordance with firm policy.
- Maintenance of accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with routine reconciliations and queries as directed by the Management Accountant.
- Performing ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
Attributes/Skills Required
- Familiarity with Aderant is beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience in legal finance is beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable working with accounting systems and Excel.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Well-organised team player with a flexible and proactive attitude.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- The successful candidate must be fluent in Spanish and possess a high level of proficiency in business English (spoken and written).
