Clean Harbors Industrial Services in Edmonton ABis looking for an experienced Health and Safety Representative.TheHealth and Safety Representativewill support local Leadership byinspecting work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company and Provincial Health and Safety policies and regulations; oversees ongoing work sites to ensure team members comply with company and client safety requirements along with promoting our positive Health and Safety culture;
This role is responsible for supporting our Turnarounds and Outages. This role has the potential to support all of Canada and other teams within Clean Harbors.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Industrial settings Refinery Petro-Chemical Utilities Pulp and Paper Mill Marine etc.
WORK LOCATION: Edmonton and Fort McMurray AB

Foster and maintain positive client and Clean Harbors operational relationships.
Boots on the ground in the field in all weather conditions - 85% in the field
Audit performance and compliance with Health & Safety policies programs and procedures.
Conduct incident investigations.
Conduct safety meetings on topics designed to promote a better understanding of company Health & Safety policies programs procedures or general Health & Safety
Conduct site inspections and audits to assure compliance with Corporate Health & Safety policies programs procedures and guidelines and proper work practices needed to maintain a safe and healthy operation and work site.
Minimum of 3-5 years Health and Safety experience within an industrial setting
NCSO designation required.
OH&S certification is an asset.
Class 5 drivers license is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel throughout the provinces of Alberta BCas well as other areas across Canada with potential for international opportunities.
