Job Summary

A career with our Financial Risk Advisory CFO Advisory (CFOA) team will provide you with the opportunity to work with our clients to deliver compliant commercial outcomes and develop and implement practical advice and recommendations to a range of complex accounting financial and regulatory challenges. Your Opportunity: 

Forming part of the CFOA team in our Consulting Division as an experienced Associate Director you will work with some of the countrys leading clients and the wider national team in a positive collaborative and team focused environment. This role is ideally suited to candidates who have prior experience in a Big 4 environment or who have had direct work experience in a finance function and who are seeking an opportunity to enhance their problem-solving skills with deep finance and commercial advisory experience. 

You will have the opportunity to work across different industries on a range of complex client problems including:

  • Develop and enhance the financial control and reporting control environment as part of the transformation of the finance function
  • Design and implement enhanced operating models to embed clear accountability and ownership across the end-to-end organisation
  • Help clients to embed AI into their finance processes to promote effective decision making and efficient reporting.
  • Implement robust data governance practices to build trust in data and support high quality reporting.
  • Work in cross divisional teams on pre and post deal finance function set-up engagements supporting our clients to realise value and synergies from their merger and acquisition activities.

Your Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications including CA or equivalent coupled with relevant experience in audit assurance or consulting in Professional Services or industry roles
  • Prior experience in a finance function or leading large complex finance projects
  • Strong understanding of core financial processes controls and systems
  • Experience in leading teams and providing training and guidance to build performance
