About the position

Councils Development ServicesDepartment is seeking a Coordinator Building Services/Municipal Building Surveyorwho will be responsible for oversight and coordination of Councils Building Services.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Acting with authority as Municipal Building Surveyor and ensuring that building activity in Frankston is compliant with building regulations and standards.
• Coordinating the work of the Building Services team in meeting the needs of customers.
• Working with the Development Services leadership team to align and improve service provision to customers.

This is a temporary full time Senior Officer position with an up to 5-year contract term.

About you

• Extensive experience in Building Regulation
• Experience in the leadership of teams delivering building services
• An interest in working in a friendly and collegiate leadership group to improve outcomes for the Frankston community
• Registration as an Unlimited Building Surveyor
