Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The OR RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills excellent teamwork abilities and experience working in an operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before during and after surgical procedures.
- Serve as circulating nurse in the operating room.
- Prepare operating rooms instruments and supplies for surgical cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and surgical technicians to ensure safe patient care.
- Monitor patient condition and maintain sterile environment during procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Educate patients and families on pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Follow infection control safety and ASC protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in MA.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
