Job Summary

Rate of Pay: 34.30 -46.53 per hour

Summary:

The Team Manager for the North Family Safeguarding Service at Swindon Borough Council provides professional leadership and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services for children. This role is centered on achieving positive outcomes through timely interventions that adhere to statutory guidelines national standards and budgetary constraints. As a model of good management the post-holder is responsible for determining priorities assessing needs and safeguarding children while working collaboratively with internal departments and external partner agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team provides a responsive high-quality service focused on good outcomes for children within statutory frameworks.
  • Assess and determine service priorities to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes in line with national standards.
  • Achieve national government expectations and meet both local and national performance targets.
  • Take lead responsibility for specific work aspects to contribute to the wider strategic development of Children Families and Community Health.
  • Model expert management by taking full professional accountability for service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Social Care Qualified professional (e.g. DipSW CQSW BASW or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body (Social Work England).

Essentials:

  • Proven experience in modeling good management and taking professional responsibility for a frontline social care team.
  • Deep understanding of safeguarding legislation national standards and the Family Safeguarding model.
  • Experience in translating research and policy into operational practice and business plans.

    • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
