We are seeking an enthusiastic new team member to join the Benefits Expenditure and Debt branch of Social Security Scotlands Corporate Finance unit on a temporary basis for 12 this role youll have many opportunities to work on varied activities with a range of stakeholders and will be fully supported in developing your skills and career.
Responsibilities
Engagement and support for the implementation of delivering financial systems and processes for all new benefits being delivered while ensuring continuous improvement and refining of existing processes.
Banking reconciliations and related activities account reconciliation including reporting analysis and journaling in our finance system.
Responsibility for administration and review of some of our financial controls for banking processes including user access monitoring and review.
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders within Social Security Scotland the wider directorate the Scottish Government and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Assisting to complete financial reconciliations on a monthly basis carrying out analysis and posting accounting journals in our finance system.
Line management responsibility (currently for one colleague) providing support and guidance.
Support with the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts ensuring there is a clear audit trail maintaining integrity of financial data.

Hybrid Working
