Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Program Director the incumbent will provide support and assist in providing non-clinical services to the PROS participants by accompanying them to social visits or service-related appointments to better enhance their experience within the program. While also providing administrative support at the PROS front desk and waiting area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List all essential job duties.   • Facilitate the preparation of daily meals for PROS participants including breakfast lunch and snacks.
  • Hold a food handlers license to handle and prepare meals in the designated kitchen area.
  • Conduct activity and skill-building groups for PROS participants (e.g. cooking group) to promote skill development and empower participants to become more self-sufficient.
  • Lead community meetings where participants can share their experiences guide their progress and identify meaningful life goals
  • Provide support in resource allocation and address participant needs.
  • Ensure the effective use of PROS resources to meet program objectives.
  • Offer clerical support and technical assistance as needed.
  • Answering phones/fielding calls at PROS front desk
  • Navigating PROs group schedule daily
  • Supporting participant transportation pick up
  • Metro card distribution/PTAR reporting
  • CACFP Catering reporting

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or GED plus one year of related human services experience. Must be able to pass the NYS Health Departments food handler requirements.
