Job Description
As a Security Guard - Hospital Grounds Patrol in Van Nuys CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients visitors and staff with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting activity using computer and/or tablet tools. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with hospital staff and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Control access at assigned points by observing visitor flow verifying credentials when required and directing individuals to appropriate hospital departments in accordance with site policy.
- Complete security-related reports and activity logs document incidents and observations and communicate shift updates through required reporting channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
- Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
