Base Compensation Range: $24.16/ hour $30.17/ hour

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

This position supports Mesas SDC business. Our Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical healthcare and dental industries.

Job Summary

The Machine Operator IV Lead PCD is responsible for organizing the workflow in PCD to meet customer demands. All work must be performed accurately and timely using company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry standards. This position requires the ability to work as a team strong focus on quality safety process optimization and effectively communicate with various positions to keep production moving forward.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Expert Machine Operation:

Operate Sealing and Label Applicators
Set up and calibrate machinery according to production specifications and best practices

Work Direction & Scheduling

Organize and prioritize PCD production tasks to meet output goals and timelines.
Develop and maintain work schedules to ensure balanced workloads and efficient resource allocation.
Provide clear instructions and technical guidance during production activities.

Training & Development

Train new and existing team members on PCD processes equipment operation and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure competency across all assigned tasks.

Technical Expertise & Process Improvement

Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical and operational issues diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
Act as the primary technical resource for PCD production processes and equipment.
Lead initiatives to improve process reliability throughput and consistency.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements waste reduction and cost savings using Lean principles.
Support implementation of new SOPs work instructions and best practices for operational excellence.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure adherence to SOPs conduct comprehensive inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA GMP ISO).
Monitor processes for deviations and assist in implementing corrective actions collaborating with quality assurance teams
Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance within the production area.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate production records process documentation and quality control logs.
Prepare reports on production metrics scheduling adherence and improvement initiatives.

Collaboration

Work closely with quality assurance maintenance and engineering teams to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
Participate in cross-functional projects focused on continuous improvement and process optimizatio

Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 4 -6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with significant experience operating and maintaining complex machinery.

Knowledge & Skillsets Required:

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes equipment and production methods.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints schematics and process diagrams.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical electrical and process issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to coordinate with other team members supervisors and departments.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet production deadlines.
Strong commitment to safety quality and regulatory compliance
