Job Summary
We are currently seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Sommelier.
Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a 5 Star Hotel as an Assistant Sommelier
- Advanced certification in wine studies (e.g. Master Sommelier Certified Sommelier) strongly preferred.

- Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
- Collaborate closely with the restaurant team to pair wines with menu items and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Proficiency in cellar management inventory control and financial analysis.
- Uphold impeccable standards of service and hospitality consistently exceeding guest expectations and fostering a culture of excellence among the staff.
- Build key relationships with suppliers to ensure a creative wine list whilst achieving financial targets.
