Job Summary

  • Lead a key wellbeing service that delivers confidential earlyintervention support to enhance the student experience.
  • Shape and strengthen peerled mental health initiatives within a highly collaborative Student Life environment.
  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $104243 $115661 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Student Life sits within the Education Portfolio and delivers services that support access engagement wellbeing and academic success across the student journey. The Student Wellbeing and Engagement division provides integrated wellbeing services coordinates earlyintervention and mental health initiatives and contributes to a highquality student experience through proactive skill building complex case support and specialised wellbeing programs.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the Living Room service providing operational oversight guidance and coordination of wellbeing support for a diverse student community.
  • Develop deliver and evaluate evidencebased peer supporter training clinical supervision and wellbeing skillbuilding initiatives.
  • Contribute to integrated wellbeing services through case management data reporting resource development and collaboration across Student Life and the broader University community.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications and current registration with a relevant professional body such as AASW PACFA or ACA.
  • Substantial experience providing mental health support including suicide risk assessment crisis response and appropriate referral pathways.
  • Demonstrated capability in peerled wellbeing models and experience responding to disclosures of sexual assault harassment and family or domestic violence.
  • Experience designing and delivering educational programs or training that build resilience capability and wellbeing skills.
  • Strong organisational communication and interpersonal capability with the ability to work independently exercise initiative and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence sexual harassment and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check will be required by the successful applicant.
