Currently we are seeking a youth Math Teacher for the Summer 2026 Math Lab program which is being offered in collaboration with Uni High School Champaign IL. The program will run for 10 days with an am and pm this program candidates will work with students that have varying academic backgrounds.
Program Dates and Details:
- Week 1: June 15 2026
- Week 2: June 812
- Expected work hours are 8:00AM - 4:00PM
- Instruction begins on June 1 and classes are held Monday - Friday June 1-12 2026.
Teaching Schedule:
- Four 75-minute session day. Estimated schedule:
- Session A: 9:00 am-10:15 am
- Session B: 10:20 am- 11:35 am
- Session C: 12:25 pm- 1:40 pm
- Session D: 1:40 pm- 3:00pm
Compensation: This position pays $35.00 per hour. This position is not benefits eligible.
Responsibilities
Expectations:
- Develop a daily lesson plan. This may include approved original curriculum or activities used in previous years.
- Lead lectures and hands on activities.
- Completion of an evaluation form for each program participant
- Maintain a safe respectful and encouraging environment for participating students.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in mathematics education or an equivalent major
- Prior Teaching experience preferred
