As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell you will play a critical role in the design implementation and management of advanced avionics systems that drive innovation safety and efficiency in aerospace technology.

In this role you will impact the development of next-generation avionics systems ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability ultimately enhancing the safety and efficiency of air travel. Honeywells Anthem Integrated Flight Deck is the Future of Flight Honeywell Anthem is the industrys 1st Cloud-Connected always-on Integrated Cockpit system featuring cloud-native communications navigation and surveillance systems powered by a flexible software platform that can be customized for virtually every type of aircraft from passenger planes and business aircraft to defense general aviation and the rapidly emerging class of Advanced Air-Mobility (AAM) vehicles. Honeywells newest and most advanced Flight Deck will herald a new age of aviation where connectivity will help enable true autonomy.

You will report directly to our Engineering Site Leader and you will work ONSITE of our Olathe KS location.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Develop analyze and implement avionics system solutions that meet performance safety and certification requirements.
Collaborate closely with hardware software systems and test engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Author maintain and manage highlevel system requirements using IBM DOORS.
Perform systemlevel analysis modeling and trade studies to optimize performance and architecture.
Execute systems integration validation and verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
Apply modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
Capture decompose and manage system requirements in alignment with stakeholder needs.
Ensure compliance with safety certification environmental reliability and performance standards. Participate in customer meetings technical reviews and project planning activities.
Provide project coordination and support budget/schedule tracking in partnership with the Project Engineer.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform system design decisions.



Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering or mathematics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership.
  • Experience in systems integration System Testing implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools with experience in avionics systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to avionics technology.

WE VALUE

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Aerospace regulatory standards DO-178 and DO-254.
  • Experience in leading complex avionics system integration projects.
  • Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE) methods or tools (e.g. SysML Cameo Rhapsody).
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability.
