Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Screenerin Riverview FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. You will document observations assist staff and visitors with customer service and coordinate with site leadership and local responders. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements and Allied Universal and/or site policies including maintaining control and accountability of issued equipment and reporting any concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions and notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas and the perimeter monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited behaviors.
- Control access points by checking identification and/or authorization assisting with visitor directions and reporting access issues hazards or policy violations through established communication channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
